BLM, a long established Top 50 law firm, needed to strengthen and demonstrate best-practice information security as it handled large volumes of sensitive and personal client data across multiple offices and practice areas. To meet growing client expectations and formalize its existing approach, it turned to URM for ISO 27001 consultancy, implementation support, training, and skills transfer.

URM helped BLM design and build an ISO 27001-certifiable ISMS, establish risk assessment and governance processes, train staff, and support internal and certification audits with BSI. As a result, BLM secured ISO 27001 certification for multiple offices, improved incident reporting and visibility, and gained stronger client assurance, with reviewers noting its information security management was “head and shoulders above” other organizations they had audited.
