Improving the efficiency of Customer Data Centre Facilities with Remote Monitoring

Interactive, Australia’s largest privately owned IT services provider, needed a simple, easy-to-install way to improve the effectiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency of customer data centre facilities while meeting NABERS Energy requirements. To address this challenge, Interactive turned to Urbanise’s remote monitoring solution as part of its Data Centre Care program, aiming to gain better visibility into energy use and environmental conditions.

Urbanise worked with Interactive to customise a cloud-based monitoring and reporting solution featuring real-time PUE tracking, efficiency graphs, and temperature-based metrics to support NABERS accreditation. With Urbanise’s wireless temperature sensors and web-based portal, Interactive gained full energy consumption trending data, enabling it to monitor and adjust facility conditions for immediate savings; the installation reportedly took less than one day.
