Fresno Convention Center worked with UrbanFootprint to help the City of Fresno address major growth, equity, and environmental challenges in its Southeast Growth Area. The region faced rapid suburban expansion, rising auto dependence, strain on water and energy resources, and the need to accommodate significant future population growth while meeting California greenhouse gas reduction targets.

UrbanFootprint supported public engagement and smart scenario development, helping the city design, measure, and communicate alternative land-use scenarios for the Southeast Growth Area Specific Plan. The result was a compact, transit-oriented growth plan that helps protect agricultural land, supports economic development, and uses infrastructure dollars more efficiently while improving environmental and community outcomes.
