A UpViral Case Study
Tickets for Good, a UK-based platform that provides free event tickets to National Health Service workers, faced a significant marketing challenge. Their unique business model prohibits them from using paid advertising to promote ticket availability to new audiences. This restriction made it difficult for them to grow their subscriber base and inform eligible NHS workers about their service. To overcome this, they turned to the vendor UpViral and its viral referral marketing tools.
UpViral provided a solution through a targeted referral contest. Tickets for Good ran a 14-day campaign offering prizes, which required entrants to sign up with an NHS email for verification. The campaign was promoted through their existing channels, emphasizing social sharing. The results were exceptional, generating 1,200 new platform sign-ups and nearly 900 new Facebook group members from a single campaign. The success of this and subsequent campaigns using UpViral has led to over 13,330 new leads, effectively bypassing their advertising ban and fueling their growth.
