Shire Talk, a social media agency owned by Brett Whipp, wanted to help Cambridge Markets Sydney promote the Kurnell Christmas Market and build an email list of local leads for future events. Using UpViral, they ran a giveaway campaign aimed at attracting the right audience to an offline event while staying within Facebook promotion guidelines.
With UpViral, Shire Talk launched a 13-day giveaway featuring relevant Golden Ticket prizes, custom opt-in and share pages, referral links, custom actions, email follow-ups, and social promotion through Facebook Events, Instagram, local groups, and influencers. The campaign generated 841 email leads, 777 social shares, and helped drive about 20,000 people to the event, far exceeding the original attendance target.
