Major Energy Company, a multinational integrated energy enterprise operating in more than 180 countries, needed to accelerate its digital transformation by making operational data more accessible across its global footprint. The company struggled to extract historian data from systems like OSIsoft PI, export metadata models from PI-AF, and handle low-latency streaming and tag transport at scale. Uptake, using Fusion and Time Series Insights, was brought in to help centralize and liberate this data.

Uptake implemented Fusion connectors and Elevate to move historical, streaming, and metadata data from more than 20 sites into a cloud-based historian, then used Lenses to organize it for different stakeholders and applications. The result was a centralized, open-data environment optimized for Azure Time Series Insights, Power BI, and AI use cases, enabling fleet benchmarking, stream cost analysis, soft sensors, failure prediction, and root cause analysis.
