Suncor, Canada’s largest integrated energy company, needed a more consistent and cost-effective way to manage maintenance across its diverse operations without sacrificing safety or reliability. To address this challenge, Suncor turned to Uptake and its Asset Performance Management (APM) application.

Using Uptake APM, Suncor optimized maintenance strategies for hundreds of assets and prioritized preventive maintenance based on risk and value impact. The program generated 3,097 preventive maintenance recommendations, helped create a central implementation knowledge base, and improved operational safety and asset reliability—all in 50% less time and with 90% fewer resources than previous methods.
