Ensign, a global drilling and well services leader, needed a way to handle growing volumes and faster streams of operational data from rigs worldwide. Their existing on-premise historian was becoming harder to scale and less accessible for enterprise-wide decision-making, so they turned to Uptake and its Fusion powered by ShookIOT platform to improve availability, performance, and cloud access to drilling data.

Uptake implemented the Uptake Ignition Connector to bring Ignition operating history into a cloud-based historian, using Fusion, Elevate, Connectors, and Lenses to centralize and organize data securely. The result was better access to operational information, faster decision-making, improved productivity, and support for ML-based data classification and reporting automation, helping Ensign accelerate its digital transformation.
