A Upstatement Case Study
Upstatement worked with PBS NewsHour, a mainstay of America's political press, to reinvent the broadcast stalwart for the digital age. The initial challenge was to upgrade the website's overall aesthetic while maintaining its trusted character. A subsequent challenge was to create a suite of clear, informative election graphics to replace a laborious and error-prone manual workflow.
The solution involved rebuilding and re-imagining the PBS NewsHour platform to create a new digital home with compelling content displays and new live video features. For elections, Upstatement built a centralized app with automated, real-time components for results tables, maps, and voter surveys. This empowered the NewsHour team with an easy workflow for broadcast, web, and social media. The work was recognized with a Webby People's Voice award for News and Politics.
