Clinch Serves Advertisers Better with Upsolver

Clinch, an advertising technology company, needed a better way to process streaming data from hundreds of millions of web users and 1 billion events per day. As its AWS-based data store became a bottleneck, the team needed a way to manage frequent changes to data tracking and aggregation without stitching together lots of custom code or hiring a large developer team. Upsolver helped Clinch simplify this challenge with its declarative data pipelines.

Using Upsolver, Clinch automated much of its data transformation and pipeline management, including partitioning, file merging, and conversion to Apache Parquet. The result was faster data movement into the data lake—within about 2 minutes—more relevant personalized ads, and the ability to double the number of features available to clients every month. Clinch also avoided the cost of building and maintaining a complex data platform, while improving real-time optimization and innovation for customers.
