5Wits launches an immersive AR clue-finding app with Upreal Digital

The customer, 5Wits, a company that delivers live-action adventure experiences, wanted to use augmented reality to improve its customers' overall experience and increase interactivity. Upreal Digital was enlisted to build an AR application capable of finding visual clues scattered around a room.

Upreal Digital developed an easy-to-use AR mobile app using Unity and AR foundation. The solution uses image recognition to allow users to find clues by pointing their device's camera and connects to a Node-RED server to manage the game state. The result was an intuitive, simple, and highly immersive user experience. Upreal Digital successfully delivered a production-ready application that met the client's objectives.
