Evergy faced rising household costs and needed a simple way to help income‑eligible customers save energy and money. Working with Uplight, Evergy used the Offer Center — a feature of its new online Marketplace — to target eligible Missouri households with no‑strings‑attached energy‑saving offers.

Uplight’s Offer Center removed typical barriers (no credit card or shipping fees required; simple name/address eligibility) and delivered free six‑packs of 9W LED bulbs to qualified customers. In a five‑day outreach Evergy reached roughly 183,000 eligible households; as of October 2022, 8,965 households claimed the offer, creating nearly $2.4M in lifetime electric cost savings and about $265 saved over a bulb lifetime for a typical family of four. Uplight’s solution helped Evergy quickly and measurably support its most vulnerable customers.
