Washington Gas Company, which delivers natural gas to over a million customers in the Washington, D.C. metro area, sought to boost residential energy-efficiency awareness and enrollment in its rebate programs and distribute Home Energy Conservation Kits to Virginia residents. To increase program enrollment and provide personalized guidance, Washington Gas Company partnered with Uplight to deploy the Online Home Energy Profile.

Uplight’s Online Home Energy Profile delivered an easy survey with tailored recommendations and kit eligibility, driving more than 26,000 site visits, 58% of visitors starting the assessment (≈15,000), and a 90% completion rate; email outreach averaged a 30% open rate and 3.3% CTR. The Uplight-powered campaign led to strong community engagement (200+ kit requests in one day), saw 69% of participants install additional efficiency measures, exceeded participation forecasts, and became one of Washington Gas Company’s most successful energy-saving programs.
