AES Indiana wanted to simplify customer enrollment, offer more predictable bills, and drive participation in energy-efficiency and green programs. To do this it partnered with Uplight to pilot Plus, Uplight’s subscription-and-bundling digital experience that packages budget billing, autopay, green energy and device offers into a single, consumer-friendly checkout.
Uplight’s Plus enabled one-step sign-up for a flat monthly energy rate, 100% renewable sourcing, autopay and digital payment methods, and other bundled services. The AES Indiana pilot hit its 2,000‑customer enrollment goal in three months and delivered measurable impact: a 26% increase in autopay and budget-billing enrollment and a 67% increase in green energy program participation. Uplight’s solution removed friction and boosted program uptake.
