A Upland Software Case Study
Wyeth BioPharma, a business unit of global healthcare company Wyeth, operates large development and manufacturing campuses for recombinant protein biopharmaceuticals. At its Andover site the team relied on decentralized, manual time‑tracking (email, paper and spreadsheets), which made it difficult to capture accurate labor costs, enforce time and labor policies, and produce timely project and payroll reports as the user base began to grow.
Wyeth implemented Tenrox Timesheet in a phased rollout—starting in 2000 with engineering and expanding in 2005 to over 2,100 users—adding policy validation at entry and integrations with payroll, SAP and Microsoft Project. The system delivered fast ROI and tangible benefits: accurate, real‑time labor cost visibility, quicker management reporting (monthly reports reduced from three days to one), fewer payroll reissues, improved budgeting and streamlined project cost control, with plans to extend the solution to the Dublin campus.
