Post & Schell P.C., a multi-office law firm, needed to reimagine its Lancaster operation as its lease expired: attorneys travel frequently and required immediate, remote access to client documents, and the firm wanted to reduce heavy paper storage and delays caused by incoming postal mail. Two large file rooms and the impracticality of lawyers returning to the office for mail made a paperLESS initiative a priority.

The firm invested in mobile devices and implemented Omtool’s AccuRoute integrated with its iManage FileSite DMS to scan, OCR and route files and incoming mail into searchable electronic folders, with automated email links to attorneys. The change enabled pre-move bulk scanning, centralized mail processing, and a 75% reduction in stored paper at the Lancaster office, improving remote access, cutting off-site storage costs and streamlining firm-wide workflow.
