DoSomething.org - Customer Case Study

DoSomething.org, a nonprofit that engages young people in social causes, set out to solve a widespread gap in financial literacy: a national survey found three out of four teens feel they don’t know enough about personal finance, while many lack accessible, engaging resources and are anxious about debt and money management.

Using the Upland Mobile Messaging platform, DoSomething.org built an interactive SMS “Would You Rather?” game that delivered short money-saving tips, encouraged peer sharing through a Tell-a-Friend feature, and offered a scholarship incentive. The campaign reached 102,748 players, delivered over 95,000 tips, and educated more than 100,000 teens by making personal finance learning fun and shareable.
