SoundFocus develops software and hardware that tune music to individual hearing patterns. As the company used its iOS app to refine a complex audio calibration algorithm and define product direction, its free analytics couldn’t provide the real-time, granular user insights needed to understand who was using the app, how the calibration performed, and where to prioritize improvements.

SoundFocus switched to Localytics to track events and attributes, identify the ten most common audio profiles, and turn those insights into preset options and rapid product iterations. The result was steady engagement growth: sessions rose an average of 8% month-over-month, iTunes track plays increased 14% month-over-month, average session length grew by over one minute between versions, and the user base expanded beyond people with hearing deficiencies.
