Slice Achieves 50% Increase in Onboarding Conversion Using Localytics

Slice builds apps that turn email into useful daily tools—its Slice Shopping app organizes orders, tracks packages and spending, and alerts users to recalls or sales. To get full value from the app users must link their email inbox, and Slice wanted to boost the number of people completing that final onboarding step, so they embarked on a data‑driven UI redesign to pinpoint what worked at each stage.

Slice upgraded to Localytics for granular event tracking, used Funnels to measure each UI change (simplified sign‑up screens, new buttons, graphics and iconography), and optimized acquisition with Localytics Attribution. The redesign produced a 50% increase in interaction with the onboarding tour and a 20% increase in new users linking their inboxes, while ongoing attribution work helps them find the most valuable ad partners.
