BreakingSports is a real-time sports app that uses AI to deliver breaking news, scores, and stats to sports fans and fantasy players. The team needed to identify which ad channels drove the most engaged, high-ROI users and also wanted to track and attribute installs from offline field campaigns at local sports events.

Using Localytics Attribution (covering ~85% of the mobile ad market) and a Branch deep-linking integration, BreakingSports tested targeting strategies across networks and optimized ad spend. Targeted campaigns drove users with ~14x more sessions per user over 30 days than broadly targeted installs, and offline field acquisitions showed ~5x higher engagement than paid online ads.
