Awaze, the largest managed holiday rentals and resorts business in Europe and parent of Hoseasons and Cottages.com, needed to drive low-cost repeat bookings by reaching customers at the moment they’re most likely to rebook. The Central Marketing team’s challenge was to combine booking data with their Email Service Provider to send timely, personalized communications that convert without relying on expensive channels like PPC.

They launched an automated “On Holiday” mid-stay email campaign using Upland Adestra’s API and unique promotion-code functionality, with send-time testing showing early-evening sends worked best. The scalable programme produced strong engagement and commercial gains: 73% open rate, 13% CTR, 2.34% conversion rate, and a 30% higher average order value for rebookers.
