Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, a New York City law firm with a long history in litigation, wanted a better way to manage software, improve productivity, and help attorneys find information across its many systems. Its employees had to use different search tools for Aderant, LegalKEY, RealPractice, Open Text document management, file shares, and email, and the firm wanted a single search experience that would also respect its security protocols.

Working with BA Insight, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP began a pilot enterprise search solution using SharePoint 2010 and BA Insight’s Knowledge Integration Platform. The solution was designed to connect SharePoint with Open Text, Aderant, LegalKEY, and RealPractice, giving attorneys a single search tool across SharePoint sites and five line-of-business applications, along with faceted navigation, conceptual search, and document preview features.
