MeinBau launches an MVP in 2017 and scales it into a white-label web platform with UpLab

MeinBau, an Austrian startup, faced significant challenges with the bureaucratic and costly process of building a private house, including obtaining construction loans. They partnered with UpLab to create a simple construction cost calculator to help users get loan offers from banks.

UpLab first built a cross-platform mobile app MVP using Meteor and Heroku to validate the market. Following positive feedback and interest from a major Austrian bank, UpLab rebuilt the solution as a white-label web application using Node.js, React, and TypeScript, and migrated it to AWS for scalability. The result was a successful platform that generates detailed budget reports for users and financing proposals for banks, leading to MeinBau's continued expansion.
