WhiteWater Uses Customized Work Order Feature to Enhance Employee Safety

WhiteWater, which operates roughly 75 small decentralized wastewater treatment facilities, 300 small public water systems and multiple pumping stations, needed a better way to track service work across a dispersed workforce. The company was relying on Excel spreadsheets, phone calls and emails and chose UpKeep’s mobile-first solution after evaluating several vendors to centralize work requests, asset data and maintenance workflows.

Using UpKeep, WhiteWater customized the recurring work order feature to create a daily safety-plan “kickstarter” that staff complete before each shift, paired with champion-led training to drive adoption. The UpKeep implementation enabled safety data capture and analytics, improved preventive maintenance workflows, and contributed to measurable safety gains — WhiteWater reports zero incidents and zero lost time so far this year and only one injury last year.
