Water Lilies saves thousands with UpKeep

Water Lilies, a maker of potstickers, dumplings and other Asian frozen foods sold to retailers, schools, and restaurants, was hampered by a slow, internet-based CMMS that acted like a protected to‑do list. With only one person able to access and coordinate work orders, technicians often went into jobs “blind,” parts tracking was poor, and daily downtime routinely cost hours—prompting Water Lilies to evaluate new solutions and select UpKeep’s asset operations management (AOM) system.

UpKeep’s mobile AOM was implemented quickly (300+ assets, technicians, and PMs in 2–3 months), enabling operators to submit detailed work orders with photos and empowering the whole team to communicate issues. The result: downtime was cut by more than half (some shifts now see as little as eight minutes of downtime), Water Lilies saved thousands by fixing root causes (e.g., $12 bearing caps and $60 HMI covers stopped recurring multi‑thousand dollar replacements), and overall maintenance coordination and company cohesion greatly improved.
