Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the operator that includes the New York Stock Exchange, needed to strengthen IT compliance and protect customer data while scaling its operations. Faced with time-consuming, manual change validation and vulnerability tracking, ICE chose a platform-first approach using ServiceNow’s ITSM together with UpGuard’s cyber resilience platform (agentless change detection and vulnerability scanning) to improve governance and security.
UpGuard scans ICE’s servers for configuration changes and vulnerabilities (using the CIS library) and automatically uploads that data into ServiceNow’s CMDB, enabling instant change validation, detection of unauthorized changes, and CI‑linked vulnerability reporting. By integrating UpGuard with ServiceNow, ICE moved from manual reconciliation to an automated, scalable process—reducing operational and regulatory risk, lowering costs, expanding coverage, and enabling continuous improvement and end‑to‑end remediation.
