UNICEF faced the urgent challenge of supporting parents and caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic by amplifying evidence-based parenting tips from UNICEF and WHO to widespread, diverse audiences. To do this quickly and pro bono, UNICEF partnered with Upfluence, using Upfluence’s influencer sourcing and campaign management capabilities to identify aligned creators and coordinate an Instagram-focused outreach across key regions.
Upfluence sourced over 600 suitable candidates, matched influencers by interest and audience, provided a custom Instagram Stories template, and coordinated 30 influencer collaborations in just 4 weeks (17 WHO, 13 UNICEF). The campaign delivered an estimated 800K+ reach, 69 social publications, 1,228 clicks to who.int and 2,050 clicks to unicef.org, plus strong engagement—4.8K+ story interactions, 3,278 swipe-ups, 10,785 likes and 386 comments on bonus posts—and produced high-quality, reusable content for UNICEF. Upfluence’s platform and execution enabled measurable, rapid awareness and engagement for the campaign.
