Massmart, a major African retailer and distributor in retail and financial services, needed to replace its existing contract management system. Updraft was brought in to provide legal drafting and management solutions tailored to Massmart’s complex, multi-division and multi-country operations.

Updraft implemented a full system release across the Massmart Group, with division-specific security, precedents, authority levels, compliance rules, and automated translation across five African jurisdictions. Updraft also helped clean up the contract and supplier databases and uploaded more than 18,000 historical legal documents. The result was faster turnaround times, better reporting and control, and a system that met Massmart’s business requirements with excellent support.
