Estimating risk of property damage with UP42

AI Superior, a German-based AI company, required high-resolution satellite imagery to build an AI model for estimating property damage to houses from nearby trees. Their challenge was finding recent imagery at a high enough resolution to identify individual trees without encountering the technical and commercial barriers common with other data providers. They turned to the vendor UP42 for a solution.

Using UP42's console to access and task Pléiades Neo satellite imagery, AI Superior successfully trained its model. The solution provided by UP42 enabled the identification of over 400,000 objects in a U.S. metropolitan area, a task that would have taken a human inspector nearly three years. This efficiency allowed AI Superior to deliver accurate risk estimates to its client and plans to use UP42 for future projects.
