A UNTHA Case Study

Preview of the UP Energiewerke GmbH Case Study

UP Energiewerke GmbH processes 6–7 tons of waste wood per hour with UNTHA

UP Energiewerke GmbH, a joint venture providing renewable energy projects, needed a powerful and reliable system to process large quantities of waste wood from the nearby BMW plant for thermal utilization. Their challenge was to find a turnkey shredding solution that was energy efficient, produced a specific output fraction, and had low noise and dust emissions. They partnered with vendor UNTHA for this task.

UNTHA implemented a complete system built around the XR2000RC shredder. This single-stage solution processes 6-7 tons of waste wood per hour, freeing it of metals and producing a consistent P63 fraction ideal for efficient incineration. The system includes dust reduction and automatic fire protection features. For the customer, this solution enables the sustainable conversion of waste into process heat for the BMW plant, effectively closing regional material cycles and replacing fossil fuels. UNTHA delivered a turnkey solution that was perfectly adapted to the client's requirements.
