Tom White Waste boosts SRF production with UNTHA, processing up to 60 tonnes per day

Tom White Waste, a Coventry-based waste management company owned by the city council, faced a challenge processing high volumes of commercial and industrial waste. They sought to reduce costs by producing solid recovered fuel (SRF) on-site instead of transporting residual waste to another processor. They partnered with vendor UNTHA to find a solution.

UNTHA implemented an XR3000C shredder to process the waste. This energy-efficient machine shreds material to a homogeneous size of less than 50mm, creating high-quality SRF feedstock. The solution allows Tom White to process up to 60 tonnes per day, reducing residual waste costs and enabling them to take on additional processed material from other companies to fuel their growth.
