Scheiffele-Schmiederer KG processes up to 1,000 kg/h with UNTHA LR1000

Scheiffele-Schmiederer KG, a leading family-run timber wholesaler in southern Germany, needed a solution to process the large, bulky residual wood sections produced at its CNC joinery plant. The challenge was to find an energy-efficient, robust shredder capable of handling this material with low maintenance for permanent operation. They partnered with vendor UNTHA to address this.

UNTHA implemented its LR1000 shredding solution, customized with a large hopper and conveyor technology to handle the bulky wood pieces efficiently. The solution achieved a high throughput of up to 1,000 kg/h and provided an energy-efficient operation with a 22 kW power rating. The processed wood chips are now used to heat the entire site, making the operation more sustainable. The customer praised UNTHA's expertise and the robust, long-lasting design of the shredder.
