Pitschl GmbH uses UNTHA to process 100% of residual wood

Pitschl GmbH, a family-run joinery and wood processing business in South Tyrol, was modernizing its production facility and needed a shredding solution for its daily accumulation of residual wood. Their challenge was to find a shredder that could be automatically linked to their new joinery machine to streamline workflows and improve process efficiency. They turned to vendor UNTHA for a solution.

UNTHA implemented its LR700 shredder, which was integrated into a complete automated system. The shredder is fed by a conveyor belt from the joinery machine, processing the wood into a homogeneous material that is used as fuel for the company's in-house heating plant. This solution made Pitschl completely independent in energy production, as 100% of its residual wood is now used to supply heating and hot water to the entire site.
