FCC Austria Abfall Service AG, a provider of integrated waste management solutions, needed to replace an aging single-shaft shredder that had limited throughput and was highly susceptible to non-shreddables. For their continuous operation processing difficult materials, they required a robust, energy-efficient two-shaft shredder with high resilience and low maintenance. They turned to shredding technology vendor UNTHA for a solution.

UNTHA implemented the ZR2400H shredder, which met all of the customer's requirements. The solution's energy-efficient Eco Power Drive saves up to 100 kWh per hour, resulting in an annual electricity cost saving of approximately 90,000 euros.
