Case Study: Euro Separadora turns C&I waste into substitute fuel with UNTHA XR3000

A UNTHA Case Study

Preview of the Euro Separadora Case Study

Euro Separadora processes 10 t/h of C&I waste with UNTHA

Euro Separadora, a major waste management company based in Portugal, was looking for a shredding solution to process commercial and industrial waste into substitute fuels for the cement industry. Their challenge was to find a reliable and efficient machine capable of handling 10 tons per hour of diverse materials like plastics, wood, and WEEE. They partnered with vendor UNTHA to meet these requirements.

UNTHA provided the XR3000C shredder, which processes approximately 10 tons of waste per hour into a homogeneous material. The solution includes an overband magnet to automatically remove metals for recycling, leaving the remaining material to be sold as RDF. This allows Euro Separadora to support greater sustainability in cement production by providing a non-fossil fuel. The UNTHA shredder also met key criteria for reliability, low operating costs, and minimal downtime.
