Breitsamer Entsorgung & Recycling GmbH shreds 30–35 tonnes per hour with UNTHA

Breitsamer Entsorgung & Recycling GmbH, a waste management company processing 200,000 tonnes of materials annually, needed a shredding solution to efficiently process different categories of waste wood. Their criteria included single-phase shredding with a throughput of 30–35 tonnes per hour, an electric drive, and a crawler-type undercarriage for mobility. They sought a machine from vendor UNTHA that could produce homogeneous output for use as alternative fuel or in chipboard manufacturing.

UNTHA provided a demonstration of the XR3000RC mobil-e shredder for a six-month test period. The solution's RC cutting system met the required throughput and output size, and its Eco Power Drive made it up to 75% more energy-efficient than comparable diesel-hydraulic shredders.
