Kamernet, the largest student and starter housing platform in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of overwhelming its users with too many choices, which led to paralysis and drop-offs. Their goal was to increase sign-ups by presenting visitors with housing options relevant to their specific city of interest instead of the entire national listing, but creating unique content for over 300 cities was not feasible. They turned to the vendor Unless for a solution using its feature components.

Unless implemented personalized overlay components using dynamic content insertion. These components appeared at key moments, displaying city-specific headlines, imagery, and rental statistics to nudge visitors to create an account. This solution from Unless led to a direct conversion of 1.5% of all visitors. Overall, Kamernet registered 148.9% more accounts and saw 42.5% more transactions as a result of implementing Unless.
