Clark Products Ltd is a 60+-year-old Hawke’s Bay chemical importer, blender and wholesaler that, after being acquired in 2016, pursued an aggressive growth strategy and aimed to become a national provider. The company struggled with being tied to a group ERP (Infor LN) that lacked reporting and caused integration and stock-discrepancy issues, while having no internal IT team to manage a system split required for the sale and independent growth.

CPL implemented Unleashed with Xero and used Link Solutions to migrate data, set up units of measure, 400 BOMs, templates and test the system before going live in July 2016. The move delivered reliable end-to-end inventory and order management, smoother integrations, improved pricing and margin controls, batch/expiry tracking and more accurate stock reporting — enabling less frequent stocktakes, better purchasing planning and the confidence to expand product lines and pursue acquisitions.
