How feature management became a core part of the way Vizlib develops–and audits–software

Vizlib, a London-based provider of analytics extensions and a cloud-native BI solution serving over 1,000 enterprise customers, needed a flexible, simple and secure feature management tool that could integrate with its DevOps pipeline and satisfy ISO 27001 auditing requirements. After evaluating options, Vizlib chose Unleash (Unleash Enterprise) to avoid a custom-built solution and to gain a vendor-supported system that worked across their stack (JS, Go, NextJS) and could run SaaS or on-premises, even locally via Docker.

Unleash Enterprise was implemented as Vizlib’s central feature-flagging and release hub, integrating with their DevOps process and adding change-request workflows and auditable logging. As a result, Vizlib now runs A/B tests and gradual rollouts, pushes unfinished features to a common code base without disruption, shortens time-to-market, and standardizes release audits to help meet ISO 27001—while also reducing engineering effort and giving sales/QA earlier access to features. Unleash remains a verification step in their biweekly release reviews and a core part of their release cadence.
