Universal Robots Solves Production Challenges In Creating Revolutions’ Assembly Line

Creating Revolutions, a Miami startup in the hospitality technology space, needed a way to assemble its customer service paging system with far greater accuracy and repeatability. The company was struggling with double-digit reject rates while performing complex tasks such as drilling, soldering, silicone dispensing, and light assembly. Universal Robots’ UR3 cobot was selected to help solve the quality and throughput challenge.

Universal Robots, working through Hirebotics, implemented the UR3 to automate multiple assembly steps, including part alignment, dispensing, peck drilling, and pre-soldering. The result was a drop in reject rates from double digits to below 1%, with production increasing almost five-fold and overhead significantly reduced. The robot also became a selling point for Creating Revolutions by demonstrating consistent quality and precision to customers.
