Robotic Arms Keep The Minitüb Production Line Running At Maximum Efficiency

Minitüb, a leading supplier of reproduction technology for farm animals, needed a way to standardize and automate repetitive bag packaging. Manual packing was monotonous, hard to keep at a constant speed, and limited employees from focusing on more valuable tasks. Universal Robots provided a UR5 collaborative robotic arm for the application.

Universal Robots implemented the UR5 on Minitüb’s packaging line to pick fresh-bagged products from a conveyor, pack them into boxes, and manage box flow automatically. The cobot was integrated into ongoing production and achieved an average throughput of about 40 bags per minute, while reducing repetitive work, improving flow consistency, and requiring little maintenance.
