BTC Mold, a Taiwanese plastic mold and injection molding manufacturer, faced labor shortages, high worker turnover, noisy and bulky automation equipment, and ergonomic risks for employees. To address these challenges, the company worked with Universal Robots and introduced UR5 cobots into its production lines.

Universal Robots implemented four UR5 cobots for product moving, palletizing, and pick-and-place inspection tasks. The result was more than 35% labor cost savings, reduced occupational hazards, better use of floor space, and greater production flexibility for high-mix, low-volume orders.
