Cobots do the Heavy Lifting at L'Oréal India

L’Oréal India, the cosmetics company’s plant in Pune, was facing a serious ergonomic challenge because workers were manually handling end-of-line palletizing tasks. This created a high level of physical strain and safety risk on the shop floor.

Universal Robots implemented collaborative robots, specifically UR10 cobots, to automate palletization and make the line more flexible. The solution completely eliminated the ergonomic risk, saved about 30 minutes per shift by allowing two pallets to run simultaneously, and contributed to a 5% improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), while also reducing downtime and enabling faster changeovers.
