A Univention Case Study
bitpack.io helped SchwuZ, a cultural event organizer in Berlin, modernize a fragmented IT landscape made up of two disconnected “IT islands.” The organization was struggling with decentralized servers, inconsistent administration, network issues, data losses, and no central identity or profile management across its headquarters and club site.
Using Univention Corporate Server (UCS) together with Ubuntu, bitpack.io implemented a centralized, virtualized, open-source-based IT environment with KVM, OpenVPN, Zimbra, domain services, file and print services, and managed Ubuntu desktops. The new setup unified both sites, enabled centralized administration of users, devices, and network services, and was completed in four months without interrupting business at SchwuZ.
