Ralph Engelstad Arena is a 400,000 sq. ft. sports and events facility that hosts concerts, weddings, trade shows and University of North Dakota athletics. IT Manager David Blair — responsible for network, desktops and servers for about 50 full‑time staff and 700 event workers — needed a flexible, reliable backup that could handle large, bursty data activity and replace two difficult-to-manage Symantec Backup Exec systems.
