AGA Marvel, a Greenville, MI–based subsidiary of AGA Rangemaster that manufactures premium kitchen appliances and refrigeration, faced growing pain with its legacy tape-based backup setup. Two tape drives and separate servers could not keep up with data and network growth, making full recoveries nearly impossible and leaving the team repeatedly troubleshooting backup failures.

Working with reseller Trivalent, AGA Marvel deployed the Unitrends Recovery 813, a disk-based, all-in-one hardware and software appliance. The new solution produces daily archives for full-system recovery, enables rapid restores, and writes backups to a 1.5 TB removable SATA drive rotated off-site. The intuitive interface and single-vendor support improved disaster preparedness and gave the IT team greater reliability and peace of mind.
