ARC3 Gases, a family-owned industrial gases and welding-supplies distributor with 52 retail locations and more than 70,000 delivery points across the Southeast, faced severe network strain after a merger. Their legacy MPLS-based infrastructure and multiple vendors could not support transaction volumes or voice quality, leading to poor application performance, unacceptable call quality and inadequate resiliency. ARC3 turned to Windstream Enterprise for a single-provider solution.

Windstream Enterprise implemented a proof-of-concept SD‑WAN rollout (SD‑WAN Concierge) and then deployed SD‑WAN with Managed Network Security, UCaaS, Ethernet and cable circuits in active/active configuration plus BYOB LTE 4G failover, all managed through the WE Connect portal. The Windstream Enterprise solution eliminated disruptions without “rip and replace” migrations, consolidated services, and delivered nearly 100% improvement in application performance and voice quality, boosting employee productivity and customer experience while enabling future cost savings as expensive MPLS circuits are retired.
