A United Living Group Case Study

Creating new homes for the ex services community

United Living Group worked with Rhodes Moorhouse Court and veterans’ charity Haig Housing Trust to address the shortage of affordable housing for ex-service personnel in London. The challenge was to create suitable, supportive homes for veterans and their families in an area where private rents are high and social housing waiting lists are long.

United Living Group delivered a full turnkey development service, from land sourcing and technical design through to construction, to build 68 new affordable rental homes. The scheme included adapted wheelchair-accessible homes, solar panels, EV charging points, and a memorial garden, and it was delivered with strong community engagement, a 10/10 Considerate Constructors Scheme score for Respect the Community, and official opening by Queen Elizabeth II in 2019.
