Villeroy & Boch AG - Customer Case Study

Villeroy & Boch AG, a global ceramics group with more than 54 subsidiaries, 14 production sites and operations across 125 sales markets, faced a complex, spreadsheet-driven financial planning process split across operational divisions and currencies. The company’s goal was to replace error-prone Excel workflows with a consistent, reliable “Single Point of Truth” for group planning, consolidation and risk reporting.

After a detailed requirements and proof-of-concept phase, Villeroy & Boch implemented Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis. The solution automated currency consolidation, built-in plausibility checks and an integrated planning cube so users can view consistent data across companies, markets and regions. With about 230 users (100 planners), the group now enjoys higher data reliability, faster reporting, effective risk management and significant time savings that freed teams to focus on analysis rather than reconciliations.
