A Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis Case Study
Materna Information & Communications SE is one of Germany’s top five IT service providers with ~2,600 employees and EUR 355M in sales, aiming to double by 2025. Faced with a legacy Quantum Mega-K accounting system, multiple point solutions and Excel-based FP&A that left projects decentralized and reporting incomplete (for example, HR costs couldn’t be analyzed by project), Materna needed an integrated, flexible ERP that required minimal consulting and could be managed by a small in-house team.
Materna selected Unit4 ERP (formerly Agresso) and completed a headquarters and subsidiary rollout in just 3.5 months. The system proved easy to customize and integrate with third‑party tools, enabling key users to handle support and changes in-house; over 20 years it has required almost no additional resources, maintained high user satisfaction, supported international growth, and allowed Materna to run updates without external consultants—making Unit4 ERP a cost‑effective, long‑term solution.
